Springfield High School Class of 1951

Home Nursing

The Red Cross Home Nursing Course trains girls to be able to meet any type of emergency which may arise in or around the home. Correct procedure for bedmaking, suggestions for healthful diets, infant care, bathing bed-ridden patients, and the fundamentals of first aid are but a few of the things learned in this class. Mrs. Elder, who teaches this course, is in charge of the school clinic where several thousand students and teachers are treated for minor injuries and illnesses throughout the school year.

Elizabeth Elder

Martha Klein is being treated in the clinic for an injured hand.
