Gertrude 'Trudy' Anettie Lutz

GERTRUDE “TRUDY” ANETTIE LUTZ went to be with the Lord and Savior on March 5, 2008 at St. John’s in Springfield.

She was born February 20, 1916 in Eaton, Ohio the daughter of Frank Valentine and Opal Belle (Williams) Henne.

As a teenager, she worked at the Dolly Factory in Tipp City; during WWII Delco Manufacturing in Dayton; and retired with 25 years from the Rike-Kumler Company, Dayton, Ohio. She grew up on a Preble County farm attending to cows in fenceless pastures and her love for the geese and ducks forever left fond childhood memories.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Michael Lutz; brother, Edward Henne; and sister, Pauline Johnston; two husbands, Eldred Lionel (Dewey) Parker and Eugene Lutz.

She will be missed by her daughter, Sue Fritts and son-in-law, Bill Fritts of New Carlisle; three grandchildren, William Darve Fritts (Dana), Vandalia, Ohio; Leslie Louise Clevenger (Jeff), Christiansburg, Ohio; and Christopher Parker Fritts (Mary) of Middletown, Ohio. Four great grandchildren, Justin Fritts, Jacob Fritts, James Clevenger; Jennifer Avitabile; two step-grandchildren, Lexie Curtiss and Sadie Curtiss. She is also survived by daughter-in-law, Nancy Lutz of Springfield and nephew, Larry Johnston, Vandalia, and many other nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the nurses (third floor) and staff at St. John’s Medical Center during mother’s seven years of residency.

A gathering of friends will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday March 11, 2008 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio with a prayer service by Pastor Jim Welch, North Hampton Community Church. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery in Preble County.
