Geneva G. Swayne, 86, of Springfield, passed away at 10:40 AM Monday, August 25, 2008 . She was born December 12, 1921 in Waco, Kentucky, the daughter of Hubert and Marybelle (Fritz) Stone.

Mrs. Swayne was a former member of the Knob Prairie United Church of Christ and the Elderly United.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 65 years, Cassius Edward Swayne, a son; Kent (Marilyn) Swayne, Springfield, daughters; Joyce Swayne, Columbus, and Ruth Etta (Eugene) Sikora, Dayton, grandchildren; Kurt and Kevin Swayne, Rebecca Swayne Chapman, Matthew, Elizabeth and Jennifer Sikora, and Jason Bailey, Jennifer (Eric) Marshall, Jillian (Jason) Blanton, and great grandchildren; Morgan, Griffen, Katlyn, Kennedy, Kindall and Kalissa and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Carol Ann Swayne, brothers; Hubert, Shelby and Dean and sisters Mamie Stone and Jalie (Carl) Dersch.

Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home with Rev. Gregory Eiden officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
