Forest C. Smith, 89, of Springfield, died Wednesday June 25, 2008 in his residence.

He was born April 9, 1919 in Fayette County, Ohio, the son of Clyde and Sarah (Dillion) Smith.

He retired as a Supervisor from Bauer Brothers.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Gary Guthrie; two grandchildren, Kary and Gary Iddings, Forest Kyle Guthrie; three great-grandchildren, Forest Levi Guthrie, Nathaniel Lucas Guthrie and Gary Noble Iddings.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Marjorie J. (Fisher) Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday June 27, 2008 in LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

He will join his life long partner in Rose Hill Burial Park.
