Ernest L. Hines, 61, of Springfield passed away in the Springfield Regional Medical Center, East Campus on July 2, 2008.

He was born February 5, 1947 in Wilson, North Carolina a son of James Cooper and Virginia Hines. Mr. Hines was a self employed contractor.

He leaves to cherish his memory his two sons; Ernest Hines Jr. of Springfield, Ohio and Michael Hines of Columbus, Ohio, a step daughter; Tammy Travis of Springfield, Ohio, special friend; Elder George Young, the House of Prayer church family and a number of other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Mr. Hines will be Monday from 6-7 p.m. in the House of Prayer. Funeral services will follow in the church at 7 p.m.
