Emma Elizabeth Latimer, 97, of Springfield, passed away at 9:56 AM Sunday, August 3, 2008 in Community Hospital.

She was born December 19, 1910 in Scioto County, Ohio, the daughter of William and Margaret (Shoemaker) Allison.

Mrs. Latimer attended the First Baptist Church and was a member of the Friendly Club at her church.

She is survived by her loving family including four children; Barbara Ford, Bruce Latimer, Carole Dimitroff all of Springfield. and Pam (Stephen) Fields of Erlanger, Kentucky, eight grand children, nine great grand children and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Latimer, her parents, sons in law James Dimitroff and Fred Ford Sr., daughter in law Doris Ann "Sandy" Latimer, great grand daughter Jillian Elizabeth Ford, sisters Mabel, Rosetta, Bessie, Nettie and brothers Charles, Leslie and Johnnie.

Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home with Rev. Ken Noonan officiating. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
