Edythe Marie Curtis Hildebrand, 97, of Springfield died at 3:15 a.m. Saturday, August 2, 2008 in Mercy St. John's Center.

She was born in Springfield, OH July 6, 1911 the daughter of Harry and Ocalla (Chronister) Curtis.

She retired as a supervisor from the Ohio Thermometer Corporation after a number of years of service. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, CL of C #56, past President of FOE #397 Auxiliary and was very active in the Democratic Party in Springfield.

Survivors include one daughter Maryellen Hildebrand Heisler, Charlotte, NC; three grandchildren and spouses Kurt Heisler, Springfield, Eric and Joann Heisler, Hyde Park, New York Sylvia Heisler, Charlotte, North Carolina four great grandchildren Eric J. Heisler II, Amy Heisler (Brian) Yoho, Holly Heisler & Greg Sammartina four great great grandchildren Ian Sammartina, Isabella Sammartina, Henry Yoho and Winston Yoho; Niece and nephews Donald (Bonita) O'Keefe, Richard O'Keefe and numerous great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband John E. in 1991.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 on Thursday in St. Raphael Catholic Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by CONROY FUNERAL HOME.
