CHARLES E. HAMILTON, SR., 85, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Friday April 11, 2008.
He was born December 18, 1922 in Dayton, Ohio the son of the late George & Delilah (Ireland) Hamilton.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. He was the owner of C.E. Hamilton Well Drilling.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Anna; two sons, Steven (Debra) Shaffer of Dayton, Charles, Jr. (Shirley) Hamilton of New Carlisle; four daughters, Patricia (Bill) Frappier of Jonesboro, Maine, Joyce (Jerry) Moore of Tipp City, Ohio, Barbara (Ron) Craig of Union, Ohio, Kathy (Bill) Collins of New Carlisle; eleven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a sister, Florence (Whitey) O’Neal of California; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by ten brothers and sisters.
A gathering of family and friends will be held 6-8 p.m. Monday April 14, 2008 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
