Carl Edward Rice, 63, of Springfield, passed away at 10:16 AM Friday, April 25, 2008 in Mercy Medical Center.

He was born April 26, 1944 in South Charleston, Ohio, the son of Benjamin and Grace (Gullett) Rice.

Survivors include two children: Rhonda Fry (Randy Sparks) and Harry James Rice all of Springfield, five grandchildren: Heather, Wesley, Christopher, Shane and Jessie, one sister; Jean (Jim) Henderson, Springfield, two brothers; Robert Rice, Springfield and James Conley, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers; John Rice and Cecil Rice and his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME With Pastor John Rice officiating. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services. Burial will follow in Ferncliff Cemetery.
