Bobby McGhee

Bobby McGhee, 77, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away Friday February 15, 2008.

He was born July 5, 1930 in Caryville, Tennessee the son of the late William & Katherine (Sargent) McGhee.

Bobby was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and received a Purple Heart. He was a F&AM New Carlisle Lodge 100 and also a practicing Auctioneer. He retired from DP&L Gas Construction after thirty-eight and a half years.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Lucinda “Jennie”; a son, Bobby W. & Pamela McGhee of St. Paris, Ohio; grandchildren, Adam (Nicole) McGhee, Roxanne McGhee, Amy (Ronnie) McGhee-Stephens; Justin McGhee; great grandchildren, Adisson & Zander McGhee, Makayla & Madison Stephens; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Gerald “Randy” McGhee and a sister, Kate Edmons.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 21, 2008 at the funeral home with Pastor Bryan Forbes officiating. Burial will be in Medway Cemetery.
