Bettie Jane Leeth, 81, of Springfield, passed away at 12:00 Midnight Friday May 16, 2008 in Heartland of Springfield,

She was born July 20, 1926 in Springfield, the daughter of George and Juanita Cunningham.

Bettie loved to help people and was the recipient of the Good Neighbor Award. She was also given many awards from the Springfield Police Department for her dedicated service to the community.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Richard Leeth, a sister; Helen Howard, a brother; Robert Cunningham , both of Springfield and several nieces , nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother George Cunningham Jr.

Friends may call in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 PM Monday.
