Arthur P. Jones, 97, of Springfield, passed away at 9:15 PM Saturday, June 28, 2008 in Forest Glen.

He was born October 21, 1910 in Lancaster, Ohio, the son of Elmer Ellsworth and Mary Catherine (Kneller) Jones.

Mr. Jones was retired from William Bailey Company.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law; Larry Eugene and Kathleen Jones, Springfield, one daughter and son-in-law; Karen and Merrill Mellott of Perry County, Ohio, four grand children; Richard A. Jones, Scott A. Jones, Christopher R. (Anne) Jones and Amy Jones, five great grand children; Shamblin Nicole, Rebbecca, Abby Lynne, Brandon and Michael.

He was preceded in death by a sister; Pauline Hunt, two brothers; Austin E. and John Jones and a great grandson; Gabriel.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Forest Rose Cemetery, Lancaster, Ohio.
